Case Study

5 Bay Modular Classroom

Client Brief

We were approached by an independent school to assist with extra classroom facilities including a science lab and a reception office. The school required us to take on the whole project from ground works to final building control sign off.

Building marked "The Green Room School," features two doors labeled "Staff/Pupils" and "Reception," nestled in a wooded area with overcast skies. Vibrant green signage stands out on wooden facade.

The Results

Due to the schools slight delay in receiving planning permission we didn’t have much time to mobilise and put together the pre-owned steel frames. Once we selected the steel module frames, we very quickly stripped and started construction of the refurbished classroom facility. We delivered the building immediately after construction. The client were delighted with the finished building, it looked very modern and sharp.

Challenges We Faced

The client wanted to install a concertina partition wall which happened to be quite heavy. So we had to instruct a structural engineer to create a steel structural design. We then instructed a steel fabrication company to supply and fit the steel works to the module frame. The client successfully fitted there concertina wall with no issues.
